I Learned SEO Before I Knew the Word SEO

Back when I was working 12-hour shifts as an OFW in Saudi Arabia, I started searching online after work.
Not because I wanted to become an SEO expert.
I was just looking for answers:
- How to start a blog.
- How to write online.
- How to use WordPress.
- How to make money from writing.
- How to build something beyond factory work.
At that time, I didn’t know anything about search intent.
But looking back, I was already experiencing it. Every search I made had a reason behind it. I was not just typing keywords. I was searching for a better path.
Why I See SEO Differently Today
SEO is not just about ranking pages. It is not just about tools, backlinks, or keywords.
Good SEO starts with understanding what people are really looking for. Sometimes they are looking for information. Sometimes they are comparing solutions. Sometimes they are ready to buy. And sometimes, like me back then, they are searching for hope.
That experience still shapes how I write content today. Whether I’m writing for SaaS, lead generation, or SEO tools, I always ask: What is the person behind this search really trying to solve?
Because behind every keyword is a person. And behind every search is a story.
